Family Poems, by Kristin

Created by Richard 10 years ago
My grandmother, Cherie's mother Edith, started a tradition in the family of writing out poems for her children and grandchildren that spelled out their names. My mother wrote these poems many years ago for her grandchildren Andrea, Ian and Erik, who live in California. Andrea Angel eyes and flower face Neat and small with innate grace Dainty daring elfin sprite Reaching out with such delight Even though we're far apart A vine that binds us hand and heart. Ian In all the years to come we'll watch you from afar A light in our firmament shining ever brighter Named for a writer, born to be our star. Erik Endearing young messenger sent from above Renewing our souls with the power of love Inspire us with your courage, stay with us a while Kindle our hearts in the warmth of your smile.
